Senior Cyber Security Engineer - 6M CONTRACT - EXT

Salary: Syd CBD, 6M Contract, $750-$818+Super per day. Hyb

We have (6-Month Contract - Extend) Senior Cyber Security Engineer role available in Sydney CBD. Hybrid, 2 days Onsite, 3 days Remote.

In this role you will will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and continuously improving Cyber Security Engineering services, such as antivirus, Data Loss Prevention, MFA, Endpoint Detection & Response, web proxy, and security event logging systems.

This is a technical infrastructure role to maintain the ongoing reliability, performance, and support of these global platforms, including responding to incidents and problems, monitoring, testing and troubleshooting, and planning for growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and manage cyber security technology platforms such as antivirus, Data Loss Prevention, encryption, and Privileged Access Management
  • Contribute to technology strategies and product selections, responding to security changes and requests by implementing and updating cyber security technologies
  • Resolve complex service incidents in line with SLAs
  • Identify, plan, and implement regular and proactive maintenance and performance improvements to the Cyber Security Engineering to ensure it remains fit for purpose
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maintain and improve service to business users and enhance knowledge and information sharing

Experience Required:
  • Strong knowledge of Cyber Security Engineering technologies and best practices
  • Strong Experience in core infrastructure technologies, including Active Directory, Windows Workstation and Server, networking, Linux, operational tooling, cloud services
  • 3 -5 years + years technical experience in an Infrastructure Engineering role, including infrastructure support and change delivery.
  • Understanding of current Cyber Security technology trends
  • Problem solving and analysis skills, with a high attention to detail
  • Strong communications skills – both verbal and written
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience of maintaining relationships in a diverse, distributed team
  • Broad financial services experience with understanding of enterprise technology environments in a global organisation
