Your new role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Cyber Threat Analyst to join a growing Federal Government cyber security team. You'll play a key role in strengthening cyber defence capabilities by developing detection content, threat models and automated response playbooks across enterprise environments.
Working closely with cyber defence, architecture and engineering teams, you'll research emerging threats, tune detection rules, support incident response activities and help ensure the organisation maintains a proactive security posture. This role also offers exposure to AI security monitoring and emerging cyber threats impacting modern enterprise environments.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience developing detection content across enterprise SIEM platforms
- Strong understanding of threat detection, threat intelligence and threat modelling
- Experience working with SIEM, SOAR and EDR technologies
- Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC) experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience with AI security monitoring or emerging AI threats is highly regarded
- Ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance
- Canberra-based and able to work on-site
