The Opportunity We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading Microsoft consultancy for an experienced Senior D365 Commerce Developer with specialist expertise in Point of Sale (POS).

This is an opportunity to become the technical authority for Dynamics 365 Commerce and Store Commerce solutions, helping deliver enterprise-scale retail transformation programmes for high-profile customers.
Working alongside Solution Architects, Functional Consultants and project teams, you’ll design, develop and enhance customer-facing retail solutions that deliver seamless in-store experiences while integrating with wider D365 Finance & Operations capabilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Act as the technical SME for Dynamics 365 Commerce and POS
• Design, develop and enhance Store Commerce and POS solutions
• Build scalable extensions using X++, C#, .NET and Microsoft technologies
• Configure and customise Commerce capabilities to meet client requirements
• Design integrations between Commerce, Finance & Operations and third-party retail systems
• Participate in technical workshops, solution design and architecture discussions
• Support implementation, testing, deployment and post-go-live optimisation
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide technical leadership across delivery teams
• Champion development best practice, code quality and continuous improvement

About You You’ll already have proven experience delivering Dynamics 365 Commerce solutions and be recognised as a subject matter expert in POS technologies.
We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong Dynamics 365 Commerce development experience
• Proven expertise with Store Commerce and Point of Sale (POS)
• Solid Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations knowledge
• Hands-on experience with X++, C#, .NET and extension-based development
• Experience with Commerce Scale Unit, APIs and integration patterns
• Strong understanding of retail operations and omnichannel commerce
• Experience delivering projects across the full software development lifecycle
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
• Current SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain it
