You will shape the assessment, engage senior stakeholders, score maturity, and build the roadmap and operating model to unlock value from AI while meeting regulatory expectations.

You might start your morning facilitating a strategic discussion with a Chief Data Officer on how to accelerate AI adoption across the organisation. Later, you could be guiding a steering committee through a data transformation roadmap, coaching consultants on client delivery, or working with colleagues to refine a new service offering around AI readiness and Data Governance.

Responsibilities
What will you do?You might start your morning facilitating a strategic discussion with a Chief Data Officer on how to accelerate AI adoption across the organisation. Later, you could be guiding a steering committee through a data transformation roadmap, coaching consultants on client delivery, or working with colleagues to refine a new service offering around AI readiness and Data Governance.

Your key responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior business, data, risk, compliance and technology stakeholders.
- Lead complex Data Management, Data Governance and AI Readiness engagements across banking, insurance and wider financial services.
- Shape client strategies, transformation roadmaps and target operating models that strengthen how organisations manage and leverage data.
- Translate regulatory requirements such as GDPR, BCBS239 and DORA into practical, sustainable capabilities that support business objectives.
- Guide organisations in establishing Data Offices, governance structures, ownership models and decision-making frameworks.
- Drive initiatives across data quality, lineage, metadata management, privacy, security and analytics enablement.
- Support the selection, implementation and adoption of governance platforms such as Collibra, Microsoft Purview and Alation.
- Facilitate executive workshops and stakeholder discussions from C-level leadership to delivery teams.
- Deliver executive presentations, board materials and steering committee updates that influence strategic decisions.
- Lead workstreams and project teams while ensuring exceptional delivery quality.
- Mentor and coach junior and medior consultants, helping them develop both consulting and data expertise.
- Contribute to proposals, client opportunities and thought leadership initiatives.
- Help shape methodologies, offerings and market positioning within Projective Group's Belgian Data & AI Practice.
- Act as a key sparring partner to the Data Practice Lead, contributing to the continued growth and maturity of the practice.
Requirements
Your skills & qualifications:You are an experienced consultant, data leader or transformation professional who understands that successful data initiatives require equal attention to people, processes, governance and business value.
You likely bring:
- 8+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Data Strategy, Data Transformation or Financial Services Consulting.
- Native fluency in Dutch or French, and fluent English.
- Strong experience delivering transformation initiatives within banking, insurance or financial services.
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including executive-level audiences.
- Hands-on experience defining data governance frameworks, operating models and organisational capabilities.
- Strong understanding of data quality, lineage, metadata management, privacy and security concepts.
- Familiarity with governance tooling including Collibra, Microsoft Purview, Alation or equivalent platforms.
- Working knowledge of regulatory environments including GDPR, BCBS239 and DORA.
- Experience preparing executive presentations, steering committee materials and transformation roadmaps.
- Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience mentoring colleagues or leading delivery teams.
Nice to have
- Consulting experience within a recognised advisory organisation.
- Experience with DCAM, DAMA-DMBOK, AI Governance or Responsible AI frameworks.
- Exposure to data operating model design or Data Office transformation.
- Thought leadership contributions, conference speaking or industry participation.
