Summary

Senior Data Analyst owning the data side of a new Strategic Initiatives team for a large international organization: connecting ERP and MI data-warehouse sources, setting factual baselines, running and documenting reusable SQL queries, and bringing evidence and visuals into executive war-room sessions. Requires 10-15 years of experience and 3 days/week from the Krakow office.

About the Engagement:
A large international organization is setting up a new Strategic Initiatives team. C-level stakeholders give it specific questions, and the team analyzes data quickly to form a clear point of view. For example, two large programmes that run separately today (such as IT change and risk remediation) may need a recommendation on how they should work together.
Overview:
You’ll own the data side of the Strategic Initiatives team. You’ll connect sources, set the factual baseline for each initiative, and answer questions quickly and repeatably. You’ll work side by side with the Business Analysts and bring the evidence into war-room sessions with senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Build the analytic sandbox: help set up and run the sandbox, connecting it step by step to sources such as ERP and MI data warehouses, one use case at a time.
Set baselines: establish the data baseline for each initiative so everyone works from the same facts.
Answer fast, reuse often: run standard queries or write new ones, and save them as documented, reusable assets.
Support decisions live: bring the right data into war-room sessions to form and prioritize hypotheses.
Validate hypotheses: test them with further data and state plainly what the evidence shows.
Support the write-up: provide accurate analysis and clear visuals for executive-level findings.
Must-Have:
10–15 years of relevant experience with a track record of hands-on delivery
Strong hands-on data analysis: querying, joining and cleaning data from enterprise sources (SQL)
Experience with data from ERP systems and MI data warehouses, including budgets, forecasts and spend
Ability to turn data into clear insight for senior, non-technical readers
Care for quality: checking results, documenting queries and making them reusable
Advanced English; able to work from the Krakow office 3 days a week
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP finance data (GL, cost centres, spend)
Python or R for analysis
Power BI, Tableau or advanced Excel for executive visuals
Experience setting up analytic sandboxes or self-service analytics
Background in large multinational or financial-services organizations
