Senior Data Analyst- Banking

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst - with strong experience in Python, SQL, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with SQL, data analysis, and consulting, and performing data analysis to support business insights and decision-making.
This role requires someone who is comfortable working with large datasets, transforming data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into solution requirements.
- Work with large datasets using Python/PySpark (Databricks/Jupyter) for data processing and analysis.
- Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
- Experience handling large-scale consumer banking, credit risk, or payment processing datasets.
- Consume and manage data from AWS S3 and integrate with downstream systems.
- Build and maintain dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight) for business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data solutions
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science or any related field
- 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, preferably within Tier-1 financial institutions, top 10 U.S. national banks, or global consumer banking.
- Strong expertise in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and scripting.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
- Understanding of banking/financial services data is must have
- Experience working in a client-facing or consulting environment.
- Hands-on experience in data analysis, data profiling, and exploratory analysis.
- Hands-on experience in analyzing, identifying, and documenting transformation logic and rules.
- Excellent teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
