Senior Data Analyst

Cadence Connect is partnering with an innovative Australian organisation looking for a Senior Data Analyst to lead its analytics and BI capability.

Working closely with engineering and business stakeholders, you'll build trusted datasets, develop scalable data models, improve data quality, and create reporting that drives smarter decision-making across the organisation.

What you'll be doing,

• Design and maintain dimensional data models and transformation pipelines.
• Build and optimise Power BI datasets, dashboards and self-service reporting.
• Champion data quality and develop reliable, governed data products.
• Contribute to CI/CD and version-controlled analytics workflows.
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity and automate repetitive tasks.

What we're looking for,

• 6+ years' experience in Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence or Senior Data Analytics.
• Advanced SQL and strong dimensional data modelling experience.
• Experience with Power BI and modern transformation frameworks (Dataform or dbt).
• Exposure to cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or Azure Synapse.
• Python, Git and CI/CD experience.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
