Summary

The Senior Data Analyst designs and maintains business intelligence tools and dashboards to provide data-driven insights for Citizens Financial Group. The role involves building ETL pipelines using SQL, Alteryx, and Python, and developing predictive models and reports within Tableau.

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Senior Data Analyst for its Johnston, Rhode Island location.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, development and implementation of business intelligence tools to provide quality information and data driven insights to our business partners to facilitate improved decision making.
• Work with functional teams to access and understand data elements and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Conduct source system/data analysis and data profiling.
• Extract, Transform and Load data from data sources using SQL, API and Alteryx.
• Analyze KPIs and present them as Dashboards using Tableau.
• Provide support, monitor, and maintain existing Dashboards and Data Extraction process.
• Undertake data mapping from source to target and define transformation rules that meet the models created by Data Architects.
• Execute unit test of data populated in target data container, validating expected result and ensure quality & accuracy.
• Coordinate with business users for User Acceptance Test and with Operations team for code deployment to upper environments.

Qualifications:

Requires a Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Analytics or related field and 4 years of experience in the position offered, BI Developer, or a closely related position. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the specified fields and 6 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience.

Must have at least 4 years of experience with the following:

• Utilizing advanced features in Tableau Desktop, including: parameters, LOD expressions, row-level security, set actions, parameter actions, data blending, geo spatial mapping, regression models, clustering, forecasting, Tabcmd and Dashboard Extensions to develop and maintain production reporting within an SDLC framework;
• Leveraging skills in Tableau Server Administration, including: managing projects, permissions and dashboard deployments to develop and maintain production reporting;
• Troubleshooting Tableau performance issues by decoding error codes to identify key issues;
• Utilizing Tableau’s order of execution;
• Utilizing Tableau’s JavaScript and REST API;
• Working with Tableau’s PostgreSQL database and related tables;
• Utilizing experience with advanced SQL Queries to extract data from Netezza, Oracle, Redshift and Microsoft SQL Server databases for ingestion into Tableau;
• Utilizing R and Python programming experience to develop predictive models and incorporate results in a Tableau dashboard;
• Building efficient Alteryx workflows and data pipelines to Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) Adobe Analytics clickstream data into Tableau to develop actionable end user reporting;
• Developing SAS Enterprise Grid Procedures to extract and normalize data from multiple databases for ingestion into multiple databases; and
• Building user segments and analyzing digital user behavior data, pathing and traffic patterns within Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics in order to develop Tableau reports.
