Senior Data Analyst
The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for leading the strategy, governance and optimisation of customer data within the CRM function. The role ensures the integrity, accuracy and effective use of customer data to support customer engagement, sales performance and business decision-making. Working closely with Commercial, Marketing and IT teams, the postholder will drive data-led improvements, maximise the value of CRM systems and support the development of advanced analytics capabilities across the organisation.
Develop and implement CRM data strategies aligned with business objectives and customer engagement goals.
Lead data governance activities, ensuring data accuracy, quality standards, validation processes and compliance requirements are maintained.
Act as the subject matter expert for CRM data and Salesforce, providing leadership on system administration, optimisation and governance.
Manage and enhance customer data integrations across CRM and wider business systems, including data architecture, automation and reporting solutions.
Produce analysis, reporting and insights to support customer engagement, marketing effectiveness, commercial performance and strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop CRM and analytics capabilities and promote best practice in data management.
Lead GDPR, data protection and data governance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies.
Support the development of future data capabilities, including AI, predictive analytics and enhanced customer insight initiatives.
Manage, coach and support the CRM Data Executive, fostering capability development and high performance.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
Significant experience in CRM data management, analytics and data governance.
Extensive experience of CRM platforms, including Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud or equivalent systems.
Advanced SQL skills with experience of working with large and complex datasets.
Experience of developing dashboards and reporting using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
Demonstrable project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Strong understanding of GDPR, data protection legislation and data governance principles.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical information into business-focused recommendations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Desirable
Degree or professional qualification in Data Analytics, Technology, Computer Science, Business Intelligence or a related field.
Salesforce Data Architecture & Management certification or equivalent.
Experience using Python for data analysis, automation or process improvement.
Knowledge of AI and machine learning applications within CRM and customer analytics.
Experience within customer-focused B2B or B2C environments.
French language skills
