This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Analyst based in India.

This is an opportunity to turn complex data into insights that support high-impact decisions in education and technology.
The role combines data integration, analytics, visualization, and business intelligence across multiple data sources.
You’ll build reliable pipelines, maintain data quality, and develop reporting systems that stakeholders can use confidently.
Your analysis will help uncover trends, measure performance, and inform improvements to products, content, and operations.
You’ll work closely with both technical and business teams in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
The position offers the chance to work with modern data tools while contributing to products designed to expand access to education.
This is a 12-month contract role, with the possibility of extension, and offers a flexible, remote-friendly working environment.

Accountabilities

  • Automate the ingestion and integration of data from multiple sources, including Google Sheets, APIs, and internal systems, into BigQuery.
  • Design, build, maintain, and monitor scalable data pipelines and workflows while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Perform exploratory, descriptive, and diagnostic analyses to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and potential issues.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Streamlit, Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define meaningful business metrics and establish systems for daily, weekly, and monthly KPI tracking.
  • Translate complex datasets and analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Select and maintain appropriate tools and approaches for data management, transformation, analysis, and visualization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate business questions and identify opportunities to improve products, content, and user experiences.
  • Contribute to data modeling, business intelligence, and end-to-end analytics workflows as required.
  • Maintain good data and development practices, including appropriate use of version control and collaborative workflows.
  • Requirements

    • 4+ years of hands-on professional experience in data analytics, ideally within education, EdTech, or a similarly data-driven environment.
    • Strong SQL skills and demonstrated ability to manipulate, analyze, and transform data using Python or R.
    • Practical experience with advanced statistical techniques such as multiple regression and hypothesis testing.
    • Knowledge of applied machine learning techniques, including clustering and decision-tree methods.
    • Experience working with data warehouses and analytics infrastructure, with BigQuery experience strongly valued.
    • Familiarity with the end-to-end analytics lifecycle, including data integration, modeling, analysis, visualization, and business intelligence.
    • Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Looker Studio, Tableau, Streamlit, or comparable platforms is an advantage.
    • Strong analytical and business mindset, with the ability to connect data findings to practical business decisions.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong data storytelling skills and the ability to turn complex information into concise, actionable recommendations.
    • Comfortable working collaboratively across product, content, technology, and other functional teams.
    • Willingness to take ownership, work hands-on, and contribute beyond narrowly defined responsibilities in a growing environment.
    • Familiarity with Git and good practices for version control and collaborative development.
