Position : Senior Data Analyst - Logistics Middle Mile
Coupang Taiwan is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join the Middle Mile Analytics & Process Innovation team.
This role will support highly visible operational focus areas including:
- Linehaul & Transportation Performance
- Sortation & Hub Operations
- First Mile / Fulfillment Center to Hub Flow
- Capacity Planning & Network Optimization
- Cost Productivity Initiatives
- Service Quality & Delivery Performance
You will partner closely with Operations, Transportation, Finance, Product, and Engineering stakeholders to generate actionable insights, develop analytical solutions, and influence strategic decisions across the Taiwan logistics network.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical analytics skills with the ability to translate operational challenges into scalable, data-driven solutions.
What you will do?
Business Analytics & Insights
- Partner closely with Middle Mile, Hub, Transportation, and Operations leaders to provide actionable insights, analysis, and reporting.
- Conduct deep-dive investigations into network performance, service quality, productivity, and transportation costs.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and root causes using data-driven methodologies.
- Support strategic and tactical decision-making through ad hoc analyses and recurring business reviews.
- Build forecasting models for volume planning, labor planning, transportation demand, and network capacity.
Process Improvement & Optimization
- Analyze operational workflows and recommend process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Support Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives through robust data analysis.
- Quantify business impact of process changes and operational initiatives.
- Design KPI frameworks that enable leadership visibility into operational performance.
Reporting & Dashboard Development
- Develop and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards, and self-service reporting solutions.
- Automate manual reporting processes and improve data accessibility for business partners.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of operational metrics across teams.
Experimentation & Modeling
- Design and evaluate operational experiments and pilots.
- Develop predictive models related to transportation performance, parcel flow, SLA attainment, and capacity utilization.
- Support machine learning initiatives that improve network optimization and operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Management
- Communicate analytical findings clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Translate complex analytical insights into practical operational recommendations.
- Maintain high standards for data accuracy, documentation, and analytical rigor.
AI & Automation
- Leverage AI and advanced analytics tools to improve productivity, automate workflows, and accelerate decision making.
- Develop scalable solutions that enhance operational visibility and business performance.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 4+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Operations Analytics, Supply Chain Analytics, or related fields.
- Advanced SQL proficiency.
- Strong Python skills for analysis, data manipulation, automation, and modeling.
- Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts and analytical methodologies.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability with attention to detail and data validation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or a related field.
- Experience supporting logistics, transportation, fulfillment, e-commerce, last-mile, middle-mile, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
- Experience with network optimization, routing analytics, forecasting, and capacity planning.
- Knowledge of experimentation frameworks, causal inference, and statistical modeling.
- Experience building machine learning solutions and predictive models.
- Familiarity with ETL pipelines and modern data stack tools such as Airflow, DBT, Spark, or similar technologies.
- Experience working with large-scale operational datasets.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies.
Success Metrics (First 12 Months)
- Deliver measurable Middle Mile cost reduction opportunities.
- Improve visibility and adoption of operational KPIs across the network.
- Develop scalable dashboards for Transportation, Hub, and Network leadership.
- Identify and quantify productivity improvements across Middle Mile operations.
- Enable data-driven decisions for network expansion, capacity planning, and process optimization.
- Support sustained improvements in SLA, Quality, Productivity, and Cost metrics.
