Senior Data Analyst

Salary: $100.00 - $130.00 p/hr inc. Super + weekly pays

• Baseline Security Clearance required
• Belconnen - Hybrid/2days WFH
• 12+12+12 month contract

Our client, a very large Federal Government Organisation, whose focus is on national security, emergency management, boarder control, immigration and multicultural affairs, require the services of a Senior Data Analyst (APS 6 equivalent).

Duties of the Senior Data Analyst

• Analysing business processes, systems, data flows and operational requirements to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation;
• Eliciting, documenting and validating business, functional and non-functional requirements through engagement with business and technical stakeholders;
• Developing business process maps, workflow diagrams, use cases, user stories and other analysis artefacts to support project delivery;
• Analysing data from multiple sources to identify trends, issues, risks and opportunities that support informed decision-making.

Skills required:

• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL;
• Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors simple programs/scripts. Applies agreed standards, tools and basic security practices to achieve a well-engineered result;
• Demonstrated experience eliciting, analysing and validating business, functional and non-functional requirements, and facilitating workshops with business and technical stakeholders to support data, intelligence, risk and operational outcomes.
