Position Overview
The State of Arizona is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to gather, extract, clean, transform, analyze, and organize data from designated sources. The analyst will develop statistical and analytical reports, executive-level dashboards, and visualizations to help stakeholders gain insights and make informed business decisions.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with T-SQL
- Experience with SQL Analytics Server
- Knowledge of Data Modeling
- Data gathering, cleaning, and transformation techniques
- Data warehousing and ETL techniques
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or R
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Reporting and data visualization using tools such as Tableau
- Technical writing and documentation
- Ability to work with large datasets, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively
Preferred Skills
- Microsoft Access
- PowerShell Scripting
- C#
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, transform, and organize data for analysis and reporting.
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
- Develop statistical, analytical, and executive-level reports, dashboards, and charts.
- Support data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Perform data quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data accuracy.
- Present findings clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
- Prepare technical documentation and meet project deadlines.
