Senior data analyst

The Senior Data Analyst turns data into decisions — designing analyses, building dashboards, and delivering insight that shapes business action. The role leads analytical standards on the program, works close to the lakehouse platform, and partners with data engineers and AI teams to ensure data products are trusted, well-defined, and actively used.

Key Responsibilities Lead analytical initiatives end to end: framing business questions, sourcing and preparing data, performing analysis, and communicating findings with clear recommendations. Design and build dashboards and reports in Power BI, including semantic models, DAX measures, row-level security, and performance tuning. Write advanced SQL against the lakehouse (Databricks SQL) and enterprise databases to explore, profile, and validate data. Define and govern KPI definitions, metric logic, and business glossaries; ensure consistency of reporting across the program. Perform deep-dive analyses: trend, cohort, root-cause, and statistical analysis to support operational and strategic decisions. Partner with data engineers on data quality, curated gold-layer datasets, and requirements for new data products. Support AI initiatives with exploratory data analysis, labelled datasets, and evaluation of model/Gen AI outputs against business expectations. Mentor junior analysts and champion self-service analytics adoption among business users. Required Skills & Experience Expert SQL and strong hands-on Power BI skills (data modelling, DAX, deployment pipelines). Experience working on modern data platforms (Databricks/Azure preferred), including large datasets and lakehouse concepts. Proficiency in Python or R for data wrangling and statistical analysis (pandas, notebooks). Strong statistical literacy: distributions, significance, correlation vs causation, and sound analytical judgement. Proven ability to translate ambiguous business questions into rigorous analyses and compelling narratives for senior stakeholders. Solid understanding of data quality, governance, and metric management practices. Preferred / Nice to Have Microsoft PL-300 (Power BI) or Databricks Data Analyst certification. Experience supporting AI/ML teams with analysis-ready datasets and output evaluation. Exposure to A/B testing, forecasting, or experimentation frameworks.

Experience: 7+ years in data analysis or business intelligence, with 2+ years in a senior or lead analyst capacity. #J-18808-Ljbffr
