About the Role

As a Senior Data & Analytics Consultant/Engineer, you will lead the technical delivery of large-scale data platform and BI solutions. You will be asked to design, implement and own the delivery of robust Data Platform solutions and end-to-end components. The role will work closely with principal consultants, practice leads, project managers, and client stakeholders and teams. This is a client facing role, so you'll need to be an excellent communicator and good with people.

What You’ll Do

  • Working with clients (businesses users) to gather, clarify requirements and business rules by running workshops with stakeholders.
  • Provide overall thought leadership to our clients regarding data profiling and integration recommendations.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platform solutions.
  • Develop and optimize data models, transformations, and database objects within Snowflake.
  • Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and ensure the timely delivery of critical business data.
  • Build, support, and enhance workflow orchestration processes using Apache Airflow.
  • Contribute to CI/CD processes and DevOps practices to improve deployment reliability and efficiency.
  • Ability to perform performance tuning and optimisation on new and/or existing data warehouse solutions.
  • Provide detailed documentation, end user training and knowledge-transfer services to customers, and internal teams.
  • Managing development life cycle using various source code management tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track-record of designing and building modern data platforms in a Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering capacity.
  • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining Snowflake database objects, including tables, views, schemas, stages, and stored procedures.
  • 5+ years of experience developing data engineering solutions using Python and SQL, including automation, data processing, and integration with platforms such as Snowflake and Apache Airflow.
  • 5+ years of experience using Apache Airflow to build, schedule, monitor, and support data pipelines, including managing workflow dependencies and troubleshooting operational issues.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise data warehouse solutions, including dimensional modelling (star and snowflake schemas) and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
  • Experience working with CI/CD practices and deployment pipelines.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) is a plus.

Nice to have

  • Advanced skills in Azure, Fabric, and Snowflake pipelines, with experience in tools such as Azure Data Factory, Coalesce, Matillion, dbt, Databricks, Fivetran, and Airflow (must have)
  • SnowPro, Coalesce, Microsoft Azure, or Microsoft Fabric certifications are highly regarded.
  • Strong skills in data platform implementation, configuration, performance and cost management tuning (i.e. Azure, Fabric, Snowflake)
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI and/or other business intelligence and data visualization tools.
