Senior Data Architect (GCP, Salesforce Data Cloud)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Architect (GCP, Salesforce Data Cloud) based in Brazil.

This is a senior-level architecture role focused on transforming a complex data ecosystem into a scalable, business-oriented platform.
You will assess the existing architecture, map end-to-end data flows, and design the future-state environment across cloud and customer data platforms.
The role combines deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of business needs and data lifecycle management.
You will work extensively with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Salesforce Data Cloud, with the latter being a critical requirement.
The position also focuses on AI readiness, data governance, quality, security, and cloud cost optimization.
You’ll collaborate closely with technical teams and business leaders, translating complex architecture decisions into clear recommendations.
The engagement is long-term and fully remote across Brazil, offering significant influence over the evolution of the client’s data strategy.

• Assess the existing data architecture and operating model, identifying opportunities to optimize current GCP capabilities while recommending broader architectural changes when appropriate.
• Map the complete data lifecycle, from operational, transactional, and CRM sources through ingestion, transformation, governance, and delivery to analytical products.
• Design an integrated target-state data architecture connecting Salesforce Data Cloud with cloud and Lakehouse environments.
• Develop architecture capable of supporting generative AI, vector search, predictive models, and autonomous data-agent use cases.
• Guide data and analytics development teams on data modeling, pipelines, lineage, data quality, governance, and LGPD compliance.
• Evaluate and optimize cloud infrastructure and customer data platform costs through FinOps practices.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for technical stakeholders and business leadership.
• Promote scalable, efficient, and pragmatic data architecture practices aligned with long-term business objectives.

Requirements:

• Solid professional background in Data Architecture, including data development, modeling, and data pipeline design.
• Deep, hands-on knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud, including customer data modeling (DMO/DSO), profile unification, calculated insights, and activation rules; this is a non-negotiable requirement.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data architecture and services, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, pipeline orchestration, and identity and access management.
• Proven ability to understand the complete data lifecycle and translate business processes into end-to-end data architectures.
• Strong understanding of data integration, governance, quality, and scalable cloud-based data environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business executives.
• Strong systemic thinking, results orientation, and a pragmatic approach to solving complex problems.
• Experience with Databricks, Medallion architecture, Delta Lake, PySpark/Spark SQL, and Unity Catalog is a plus.
• Experience with Snowflake, virtual warehouse architecture, Snowpark, Data Sharing, or Zero-Copy integrations is advantageous.
• Knowledge of dimensional and relational modeling, as well as batch and streaming integration patterns, is desirable.
• Experience with AWS or Azure is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as Salesforce Data Cloud Accredited Professional, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer/Architect, Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional, or SnowPro Advanced certifications are advantageous.
