Requirements:- Enterprise-scale data architecture experience
- Experience with AWS cloud data platforms
- Strong experience with Spark, PySpark, and Python
- Experience with Airflow and ELT/data processing
- Experience with data lakehouse and data products
- Experience with streaming and event-driven architecture
- Experience with data governance
- Experience defining architecture standards, patterns, and conducting technical design reviews
- Experience delivering data architecture that enables ML/AI platforms
- Strong engineering credibility with the ability to operate at both technical and senior stakeholder level
- Experience in Financial Services or another highly regulated environment is advantageous
- Shape the evolution of a large-scale, cloud-based data ecosystem
- Work across complex distributed data platforms
- Influence architecture direction across multiple engineering and data teams
- Operate as a technically hands-on senior architecture contributor
- Support architecture standards, patterns, and technical design reviews

We are a major UK organisation seeking a Senior Data Architect for an initial 6-month contract inside IR35. This is a London-based hybrid role with three days onsite per week. We are building and evolving a large-scale cloud data ecosystem, and this role will play a key part in shaping our architecture direction across engineering and data teams.
