Senior Data Architect
This is a remote position.
A public-sector organization is seeking an experiencedSenior Data Architectto support data architecture, data modelling, information management, and modernization initiatives within a complex enterprise environment.
The successful candidate will provide senior-level expertise in designing and defining data architectures, developing logical and physical data models, and applyingKimball dimensional modellingprinciples. The role will also involve working with justice-sector systems, includingJOIN (Justice Online Information Network)andJIMS, while ensuring alignment with applicable information management, cybersecurity, privacy, and data governance requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with complex enterprise data environments and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or diploma inComputer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Management, or a related discipline.
- Approximately5+ years of experience defining data architectureand applyingKimball dimensional modellingmethodologies.
- Approximately5+ years of experiencedeveloping data models usingSAP/Sybase PowerDesigneror comparable data modelling/architecture tools.
- Approximately3+ years of experience working with JOIN (Justice Online Information Network) and JIMS.
- Approximately2+ years of experience working within or supporting court environments.
- Approximately2+ years of experience working in or with public-sector environments, with an understanding of public-sector processes and requirements.
- Approximately1+ year of experience working with information management and cybersecurity policies, directives, standards, and practices.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, data modelling, data integration, and information management.
- Experience with structured query languages, includingSQL.
- Recent training or professional development related toCloud Computing.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with at least5 years of experience conveying complex technical conceptsto diverse audiences.
