Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Business Analyst for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Europe. Our client is a leading multinational company in the building materials industry.
You'll support a global initiative to integrate digital tools from local subsidiaries into standardized global solutions. The role combines business analysis (approximately 65%) and hands-on data management/transformation (approximately 35%). The successful candidate will analyze local business processes and data structures, understand legacy business logic, and map local data models to global solution architectures. The primary focus is on business analysis, stakeholder collaboration, data mapping, and developing repeatable data transformation processes using Microsoft Excel and VBA.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Migration Analyst, or a similar role.
Strong understanding of data management, data structures, and data modeling concepts.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VBA scripting and automation.
Experience working with relational data and structured datasets.
Knowledge of CSV, JSON, and XML data formats.
Experience analyzing and documenting business processes and requirements.
Expertise in data mapping and data transformation.
Ability to understand and translate complex business logic into functional requirements.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent English or German (minimum C1 level), with English preferred.

Experience with data migration or data integration projects.
Basic knowledge of SQL.
Experience working with enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, or similar business systems.
Experience in global template rollout, standardization, or harmonization initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Analyze local digital solutions and applications used across various subsidiaries.
Understand and document business processes, data structures, and underlying business logic.
Collaborate with local business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and external agencies to gather and validate requirements.
Review and analyze data originating from Excel files, backend systems, and relational databases.
Map local data structures and business rules to global data models and solution requirements.
Document data mappings, transformation rules, and functional specifications.
Design and implement repeatable data transformation processes using Microsoft Excel and VBA.
Validate data quality, consistency, and completeness throughout migration and integration activities.
Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and dependencies within legacy data sources.
Act as the main liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Support multiple ongoing integration and harmonization projects within an international environment.
