We’re looking for a Senior Data & Cloud Engineer who can build and scale a cloud native data and AI platform. This role combines cloud engineering, data engineering, and DevOps. You’ll design infrastructure that supports real time analytics, industrial data processing, and AI/ML workloads across both cloud (AWS) and on prem environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
Cloud & On-premise Infrastructure
- Build and operate AWS and on prem infrastructure
- Use Terraform/CloudFormation for IaC
- Manage core AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS, RDS)
- Work with AI/ML teams to optimize performance, cost, and reliability
- Both company infrastructure and deployment at customer location are your focus
DevOps / Platform Engineering
- Build CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins)
- Automate deployments, scaling, and monitoring (Kubernetes)
- Ensure high availability and system reliability
- Implement observability (logging, metrics, tracing)
Data Engineering
- Build streaming and batch pipelines
- Work with industrial data sources (SCADA, historians, telemetry)
- Support real time analytics and ML pipelines
- Handle Kafka, ETL, data lakes/warehouses
Security
- Implement secure cloud and on-prem architectures
- Manage IAM, secrets, encryption, network security
- Support ISO 27001 / SOC2
- Embed DevSecOps practices
Collaboration
- Work with software, AI/ML, security, and OT/ICS engineers
- Contribute to architecture decisions
- Mentor junior engineers
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in a similar role
- Strong engineering mindset (build, automate, scale)
- Comfortable in fast-moving startup environment
- Ability to translate complex systems into scalable architecture and also on-premise
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and outcome-driven
- Must-have skills:
- Strong cloud experience (AWS)
- Infrastructure-as-Code; Terraform or CloudFormation
- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins)
- Containerization; Docker + Kubernetes
- Programming; Python or Go
- Building scalable data platforms; Kafka / streaming data
- Experience with both cloud + on‑prem infrastructure
- Strong DevOps mindset (automation, reliability, observability)
- Nice‑to‑Haves:
- Industrial/OT/ICS experience (SCADA, OPC, Modbus, PI Historian)
- Experience with AI/ML pipelines
- Cloud security expertise
- Experience in regulated environments
