As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering modern, scalable data platforms that power strategic business decisions for major public and private organizations.

You will work on cutting-edge cloud and big data ecosystems using Azure, AWS, Databricks, Spark, and modern DevOps practices to create high-performance data solutions.

What you’ll do

  • Design, architect, and build enterprise-grade cloud data platforms from the ground up
  • Develop scalable data pipelines and distributed systems for large-scale data integration
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, software engineers, analysts, and data scientists
  • Contribute throughout the full project lifecycle: strategy, architecture, implementation, deployment, and optimization
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence within the team
  • Support innovation initiatives, proof-of-concepts, and technical pre-sales activities
  • Help shape ELCA’s Data & AI thought leadership through innovation and best practices

What you bring

  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud data platforms, or distributed systems
  • Strong expertise in SQL, data architecture, ETL/ELT, and large-scale data processing
  • Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake
  • Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and automation
  • Knowledge of Terraform, real-time or micro-batch architectures
  • Familiarity with data mesh, data products, or AI/ML environments is a plus
  • Strong communication skills in French and English
