Senior Data Engineer - barcelona

In this role, you will design and maintain scalable data pipelines and support data operations in a global retail context. You will contribute to production-grade ML solutions and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data-driven tech. You’ll ensure data quality and availability across the data platform, enabling impactful analytics and decision making. • Design, build, and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines
• Drive end-to-end data operations: exploration, provisioning, cleaning, testing, lifecycle management
• Implement statistical and machine learning algorithms in production
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate needs into scalable technical solutions
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability across the data infrastructure

• Proficiency in Scala, Python, and SQL
• Hands-on experience with Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes, Hive
• Strong understanding of relational (e.g., SQL Server) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, ELK, Cassandra)
