Senior Data Engineer

Are you a Senior Data Engineer who enjoys leading complex engineering initiatives while remaining hands‑on?

We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a high‑performing data engineering team delivering enterprise‑scale data platforms and products. You'll combine technical leadership with hands‑on engineering, helping shape best practice while delivering reliable, scalable and secure data solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Lead the design, development and delivery of complex data pipelines and data products.
• Provide technical ownership across large‑scale engineering initiatives.
• Drive engineering standards, automation and best practice across the team.
• Work closely with Data Owners, Architects and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers and promote knowledge sharing across the wider team.
• Lead investigations into production issues, root cause analysis and service improvements.
• Champion modern engineering practices, CI/CD and continuous improvement.

What we're looking for

• Strong background building data pipelines and integrations.
• Excellent SQL and experience with technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle or Snowflake.
• Experience with cloud platforms including Azure or AWS.
• Strong scripting skills using SQL, Python or PowerShell.
• Experience with CI/CD, deployment automation and engineering best practice.
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and influence engineering direction.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
