Senior Data Engineer
Summary
Senior Data Engineer on a 12-month contract with a growing HealthTech company, based hybrid in Dublin (2 days onsite). Day to day, they build and improve scalable production data pipelines on the Azure platform using Databricks, PySpark, Data Lake and ADF, including streaming ingestion via Event Hub/Kafka, alongside teams in Ireland and the US.
We are working with a growing HealthTech company that is looking to add a Senior Data Engineer to its data engineering team on a 12-month contract.
Hybrid: 2 days onsite per week
Location: Dublim
This is a hands-on delivery role focused on building and improving scalable data pipelines across the Azure data platform. You’ll work closely with engineering leads and wider teams in Ireland and the US to deliver reliable, maintainable data solutions in a production environment.
Key Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years’ experience in Data Engineering
- Strong Azure Databricks and PySpark experience
- Azure Data Lake and ADF / orchestration tools
- SQL and Python
- Event-based or streaming ingestion using Event Hub, Kafka, or similar
- Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, data modelling, and distributed data processing
- Experience working with production-grade data platforms
