Overview

Senior Data Engineer (C#, SQL, Analytics) – As a Senior Software Developer Engineer - Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain robust applications and data solutions using modern tools and cloud technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support data-driven initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvements in our engineering practices.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze specifications and define user requirements for the development of new or upgraded data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with development teams and business stakeholders to develop, implement, and refine features.
  • Design data pipelines and software solutions; perform feasibility studies.
  • Propose viable, scalable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.
  • Develop software according to standards: stability, monitoring, operability, deployability, and implementability.
  • Model, design, and implement databases.
  • Design and implement high scalability and high availability solutions with parallel processing.
  • Optimize performance of existing data pipelines and reduce operational costs; ensure data quality, security and governance (GDPR zones, data catalog).
  • Conduct unit, package, and performance tests and ensure quality in line with guidelines.
  • Participate in product validation and fine-tuning during the product cycle.
  • Support customers by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst.
  • Produce software documentation for the application and share with requesting departments.

About The Ideal Candidate

  • Hands-on software development experience in Agile environments.
  • Experience with data technologies and data management practices (SQL, DBMS, BI, Analytics).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL Server or equivalent database technologies.
  • Experience with database performance monitoring and tuning.
  • Solid experience with C# / .NET programming.
  • Background in Reporting, ETL, and Data Warehousing.
  • Ability to write clean, reliable unit tests.

Qualifications

  • University degree in computer science, business studies, or a related field, or relevant experience.

Bonus if you have

  • Experience with API integration and/or API implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with data integration tools such as:
    • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
    • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
    • or similar
  • Experience with cloud data platforms, including:
    • Azure SQL
    • Cosmos DB
    • Splunk
    • or equivalent
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks like xUnit, NUnit, or similar.
  • Experience deploying solutions in the cloud (Azure preferred, AWS also considered).
  • Exposure to microservices-based architectures.
  • Experience designing and implementing external APIs.
  • Background in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Test automation experience beyond unit testing (integration, performance, etc.).
