- Design, build, and maintain scalable, robust batch and real-time data ingestion and transformation pipelines using modern tools.
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data models (dimensional modeling, semantic layers) within cloud data warehouses.
- Implement automated testing, data observability, and monitoring frameworks to guarantee data integrity, track SLAs, and proactively resolve pipeline failures.
- Tune resource-heavy SQL queries, optimize storage costs, and improve pipeline execution times across large datasets.
- Partner with Analytics, Product, and Data Science teams to understand data requirements and deliver production-ready datasets for reporting and ML deployment.
- Enforce data governance, privacy compliance, secure data handling, and role-based access controls.
- Drive engineering best practices through code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentorship of junior and mid-level data engineers.
- Oversee recruitment and supervision of the Data Team
Job Specifications
- At least 5 years’ experience in database architecture, upgrades and migration
- Solid working experience in database administration
- Familiar with shell scripting is an advantage
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; Good command of Cantonese and Mandarin.
