Senior Data Engineer – CRM and Customer Journeys

Summary

Build and operate Snowflake-based data products that power Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud customer journeys, including ELT pipelines, integrations, and data models.

Every customer journey starts with trusted data.

We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our CRM Data domain team and help build the data products that power customer journeys across our CRM and Marketing platform (Salesforce). At Storebrand, we're transforming the way we work with data. We're moving from a centralized legacy platform to a modern Snowflake-based data platform with distributed domain ownership. Instead of centralized data teams, each domain owns and develops the data products that support its business capabilities. Salesforce Data is one of these domain teams.

We build and operate the data products that power every stage of the customer journey through Salesforce—from personalized marketing and digital sales to customer service. Working closely with business domains, Salesforce developers, the Martech team and the Data Platform team, we ensure trusted customer data is available where it's needed most.

What will your workday look like?

As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building and operating the data products that enable customer journeys across Storebrand. You'll join a small, highly skilled domain team with end‑to‑end ownership of the data products powering Salesforce. This is a hands‑on engineering role where you'll have real influence on both the solutions we build and how we build them. We value initiative, engineering craftsmanship and continuous improvement, and everyone on the team is expected to contribute ideas, challenge existing approaches and help shape our ways of working.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, build and operate data products in Snowflake that power Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud
  • Build integrations between Salesforce and Storebrand's data ecosystem using APIs, event streams and batch processing
  • Develop robust ELT pipelines and data transformations
  • Design data models optimized for CRM, customer journeys and customer engagement
  • Ensure high data quality, observability, reliability and security across our data products
  • Automate deployments and continuously improve engineering practices using CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
  • Collaborate with engineers across Storebrand to evolve engineering standards, architecture and best practices

Who are you?

We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and building reliable data products that create real business value. You take ownership from design and implementation through operations and continuous improvement. You're someone who enjoys improving both technology and the way teams work. You have the confidence to challenge existing solutions, suggest better approaches and help move the team forward. You don't wait for someone else to identify opportunities for improvement—you actively look for them.

You thrive in collaborative environments where ideas are shared openly and decisions are made together. You enjoy working across disciplines, learning from others and contributing your own experience to help raise the bar for the entire team.

As Storebrand continues its data transformation, you'll have the opportunity to influence how domain‑owned data products are built and operated. If you're motivated by combining modern data engineering with meaningful customer impact, you'll thrive in this role.

Qualifications

  • Several years of hands‑on experience in Data Engineering or similar roles
  • Experience building modern data solutions on cloud platforms
  • Strong SQL skills and solid experience with data modelling
  • Experience designing and operating data pipelines and integrations
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar modern cloud data platforms
  • Experience with CI/CD, Git and Infrastructure as Code
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work closely with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Curiosity, initiative and a passion for continuously improving both technology and ways of working

Experience with Salesforce, Marketing Cloud or customer data platforms is an advantage, but not a requirement.
