Senior Data Engineer (Databricks, Power BI)

We are hiring a Senior Data Engineer (Databricks, Power BI) in Vietnam to build trusted analytics using scalable lakehouse patterns and high-performing dashboards. You will craft data models, deliver Databricks pipelines in Python/PySpark, and enforce governance so reports remain secure and dependable. Responsibilities

• Convert business requirements into BI designs and analytics-ready data models
• Build and tune Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, and semantic models
• Engineer production pipelines in Databricks leveraging Python, PySpark, and SQL
• Roll out Medallion Architecture and other lakehouse patterns across layers
• Coordinate releases with Git, Power BI Deployment Pipelines, and CI/CD practices
• Enforce security via RLS, RBAC, and Unity Catalog access controls
• Resolve data and reporting problems, optimize performance, and raise data quality

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
• Deep knowledge of DAX, including troubleshooting and performance optimization
• Capability in Power Query (M) for data shaping and transformation work
• Strong command of SQL for complex querying, transformation, and analytical modeling
• Hands-on Python skills for maintainable, production-ready data solutions
• Practical experience using PySpark to build scalable transformations in Databricks
• Track record delivering Databricks lakehouse pipelines and production workloads
• Proficiency with Git plus structured release and deployment practices

Nice to have

• Databricks Asset Bundles experience, including YAML-based workflow configuration
• Exposure to GitHub Actions or comparable CI/CD tooling for validation and deployment
• Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage and common secrets management approaches
