Are you a Senior Data Engineer who enjoys building reliable data solutions and isn't afraid to get stuck into an established SQL environment? We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to take ownership of a business‑critical SQL data warehouse, supporting financial reporting and analytics while helping evolve the platform over time. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll work closely with Finance and business stakeholders, developing robust data pipelines, maintaining trusted reporting solutions and driving improvements across the data platform.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing, building and maintaining scalable SQL and Python data pipelines.
- Managing and developing a business‑critical SQL data warehouse.
- Supporting and enhancing Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS and SSRS solutions.
- Developing robust data models to support financial reporting, forecasting and planning.
- Working closely with Finance and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Driving engineering best practice, including version control, CI/CD, automated testing and documentation.
- Monitoring data quality, performance and pipeline health, resolving issues proactively.
- Supporting the ongoing evolution of the data platform and cloud environment.
What we’re looking for
- Strong SQL and Python development skills.
- Experience managing and developing SQL data warehouses.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS and SSRS.
- Experience building production‑grade ETL and data pipelines.
- Experience working with financial data and supporting reporting or planning functions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- A proactive, hands‑on approach and a willingness to take ownership.
