Responsibilities

• Develop and manage cloud data platforms on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, ensuring adherence to security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability principles.
• Oversee a team of data engineers, aligning technical solutions with business requirements while managing stakeholder relationships.
• Employ Python, SQL, and Git for data processing and application development, adhering to software engineering best practices.
• Design and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes using tools such as Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Design and utilize various data storage solutions, including data lakes, data warehouses, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Apply knowledge of data modeling and database normalization to ensure efficient data organization and retrieval.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Cloud Data Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Git.
• Knowledge of Software Engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience designing and implementing data platforms on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with data storage techniques (data lakes, data warehouses, SQL/NoSQL databases).
• Experience with platform design, DevOps features, and CI/CD tools (Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, AWS CDK, Bicep/ARM).
• Experience with virtualization and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of orchestration and data processing tools (Apache Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, PySpark, Scala).
• Understanding of Data Modelling and Database Normalisation.

Salary: €4,500 – €7,000 gross per month
