Senior Data Engineer (DV Clearance)
Summary
Contract Senior Data Engineer supporting a secure UK Government/Defence programme through a consultancy. Day to day involves building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and platforms using Python, SQL, PySpark, Databricks and AWS/Azure; active UK DV clearance is mandatory.
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a leading consultancy on a contract basis, supporting a secure UK programme.
The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Data Engineering and cloud technologies, with a focus on building and maintaining scalable data solutions.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Python and SQL
- Hands-on experience with PySpark/Apache Spark
- Experience with Databricks
- Experience working with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT and data engineering principles
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms
- Ability to work effectively within secure, complex technical environments
Security Clearance
Active UK DV (Developed Vetting) clearance is required for this role.
Candidates with experience delivering projects within UK Government, Defence, National Security or other secure environments are particularly relevant.
