Senior Data Engineer
Summary
Build and maintain Snowflake data pipelines and models with DBT/Fivetran, supporting internal AI tools and web apps for a government-linked investment manager.
DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICES
NBIM is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain data pipelines, data models, and platform infrastructure, alongside supporting data underlying a range of web applications and APIs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Development of advanced, reliable and secure data structures for key organisational
data sets, with particular focus on making data accessible through internal AI tools.Design, build and maintain robust data pipelines and data models across the
Snowflake data platform, using DBT and Fivetran to ensure reliable, well-tested data flows.Support, maintain and develop functionality across internal and external systems for
HR, Communications, Active Ownership and Compliance.
MAIN QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Deep knowledge and experience with Snowflake, Fivetran and DBT
Advanced Python skills
Advanced SQL skills, with strong data modelling and warehouse design experience
Experience designing and maintaining data models, schemas, and data quality/testing frameworks in a cloud data warehouse
Hands-on experience with AWS serverless (Lambda, API Gateway)
Proficiency with Git and Azure DevOps CI/CD
Proficiency with Claude Code
Experience with advanced organisational data sets (HR, Trading, Holdings etc) an advantage
Experience with API/backend development an advantage
4-8 years relevant software/data engineering experience
Excellent written and spoken English
The applicant must be employed by a consulting company
Indicated start date: 31st of August 2026
Estimeted duration of the assignment: 6 months, NBIM reserves the right to extend the assigment for a further 6 months
