Summary: Sneior Data Engineer role focuses on delivering consultancy services aimed at enhancing anti-money laundering detection systems within capital markets, ensuring high-quality engineering and innovation.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and optimise data pipelines for AML detection scenarios.
Implement detection logic, rule frameworks, and scoring components for financial crime use cases.
Ensure high-quality engineering across code, data pipelines, and operational processes.
Contribute to a greenfield architecture with ownership and delivery excellence.
Must Haves:
Strong programming skills in Python and Java.
Advanced experience with Apache Spark (PySpark) and SQL for large-scale data processing.
Hands-on experience in distributed compute platforms and on-premise clusters.
Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Bamboo/Jenkins and Bitbucket.
Quantexa Scala experienced.
Experience working in Agile teams, with the ability to work independently in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly.
Nice to Have:
Understanding of Capital Markets products including FX, Equities, Derivatives, and Bonds.
Experience in Financial Crime, AML, or surveillance use cases.
Experience with rule-based detection systems, scorecards, or alerting frameworks.
Experience with automation in pipeline deployment, data validation, and workflow orchestration.
Experience integrating solutions with third-party systems.
A strong "can-do" attitude and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
