Senior Data Engineer

Summary

  • Start: ASAP (no later than September 2026)

  • Duration: Initial 6-12 month contract with extension option

What you'll be doing

  • Design, build and maintain scalable data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and Azure.

  • Develop robust, production-grade PySpark data pipelines.

  • Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, data scientists and product owners in a cross-functional agile team.

  • Review code, mentor teammates and promote engineering best practices.

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.

  • Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly to both engineers and architects.

  • Improve platform reliability, reduce technical debt and produce high-quality technical documentation.

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Strong experience building scalable data platforms on Azure using Microsoft Fabric.

  • Hands-on experience developing production PySpark data pipelines.

  • Experience with CI/CD and modern software engineering practices.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work proactively within distributed, cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

  • Interest or experience in Data Science or Machine Learning.

  • Familiarity with AI-powered development tools and modern engineering workflows.
