Empathy Talent is working with one of their top Partners to help bring on board a Data Engineer for a top Enterprise within the Toys & Consumer Goods sector. This role will be to help design and build a modern data foundation that enables trusted analytics and business insights.
Senior Data Engineer (Databricks)
The Role
You will take full ownership of designing and scaling robust data pipelines, utilizing your expertise to transform complex business requirements into high-performance analytical models. This is a critical role for a data specialist ready to drive end-to-end data platform strategy within a large-scale enterprise environment.
Position & Logistics Setup
This is a Contract position based in Southern Denmark operating on an Hybrid basis with 3 days per week onsite. The initial contract term is 6 months (July 2026 – December 2026).
Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline Engineering: Design and develop scalable data pipelines utilizing Databricks to ensure seamless data flow.
- Data Foundations: Build and maintain a robust, high-quality data foundation that supports diverse organizational sourcing areas.
- Analytical Modeling: Design and implement complex semantic and analytical data models to empower self-service business intelligence.
- Platform Optimization: Drive the development of efficient ETL/ELT processes while ensuring high standards of data governance and platform performance.
Required Experience & Skills
- Databricks & SQL: Advanced expertise in modern data engineering practices and Databricks ecosystem.
- Data Modeling: Deep proficiency in dimensional modeling, star schemas, and warehouse design.
- Business Intelligence: Proven ability to develop Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards using DAX and Power Query.
Technical & System Requirements
- Enterprise Integration: Experience working with large-scale enterprise integration systems and cloud-based data environments.
- Project Tools: Demonstrated ability to apply industry-standard methodologies to build scalable data platforms.
