We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in building and maintaining modern cloud-based data platforms.

The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise with Google BigQuery, Python, and Apache Airflow, and is passionate about designing scalable data pipelines, optimizing data processing workflows, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in an Agile environment, collaborating with data analysts, software engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver reliable and efficient data solutions. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
  • Build and optimize data solutions using Google BigQuery
  • Develop data processing and automation workflows using Python
  • Create, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot workflows using Apache Airflow
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and consistency across multiple data sources
  • Optimize query performance, storage utilization, and overall platform efficiency
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and operational best practices for data pipelines
  • Support data governance, security, and compliance initiatives
  • Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional relevant experience in data engineering
  • Strong experience with Python development for data engineering and automation tasks
  • Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery, including data modeling, performance optimization, and query tuning
  • Practical experience designing and maintaining Apache Airflow workflows
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and modern data architectures
  • Strong SQL skills with experience working on large-scale datasets
  • Background integrating data from multiple sources, including APIs, databases, and cloud services
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and deployment automation
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • English at B2 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of data orchestration, observability, and monitoring tools
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Exposure to machine learning data pipelines or MLOps concepts
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini, or similar solutions
