We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our growing global team of data engineering professionals. You will play a key role in building robust, scalable data-driven solutions that support critical decision-making processes for our Property & Casualty business domain.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge Data Transformation projects that utilize Big Data and Machine Learning to solve emerging challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable data pipelines and data-driven solutions to support robust analytics and business decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, align on data needs, and ensure seamless delivery of solutions
  • Implement data modeling, documentation, and optimization strategies to streamline performance and usability
  • Develop data analytics tools and dashboards to effectively communicate insights and trends
  • Leverage modern coding languages like Python or TypeScript to create reliable and maintainable software components
  • Ensure data accuracy, validation, and monitoring processes are automated and efficient
  • Apply Agile methodologies, including Scrum, to expedite project delivery and enhance collaboration
  • Take ownership of projects, driving them from inception to completion with minimal oversight
  • Solve complex Big Data problems using advanced technologies like Palantir Foundry and Machine Learning techniques

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in data and technology
  • Expertise in modern coding languages like Python or TypeScript
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational database concepts
  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools
  • Background in Scrum and Agile development approaches
  • Understanding of building data-driven applications with storytelling capabilities
  • Good communication skills in English to articulate complex ideas effectively to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Palantir Foundry and Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience with Machine Learning or Generative AI
  • Knowledge of PySpark for large-scale data processing
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Gradle
  • Knowledge of the insurance domain, the financial industry, or finance functions within other industries
