Job Description
The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for technically leading the development of advanced models, analytical products, and AI/ML-based solutions that support strategic decisions and deliver direct value to Serasa Experian's clients and business areas.
This position acts as a technical reference, connecting strategy, technology, and business, ensuring excellence in modeling, engineering best practices, scalability, and measurable impact.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical reference in the development of Data solutions (Machine Learning, advanced statistics, and AI).
- Technically lead end-to-end data projects, from conception to implementation in production.
- Ensure best practices in analytical engineering, MLOps, and model governance.
- Develop and optimize Machine Learning models with a focus on performance, interpretability, and scalability.
- Ensure monitoring, maintenance, and continuous evolution of models in production.
- Translate business problems into analytical hypotheses and robust solutions.
- Support strategic decisions through analysis, experiments, and impact measurement.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (business, engineering, product) in building solutions.
- Communicate complex results clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
- Evaluate technical feasibility, ROI, and risks of data-driven initiatives.
- Act as a technical mentor for more junior professionals, contributing to the team's evolution.
Qualifications
- Degree in fields such as Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related areas.
- Proficiency in Python (or R) and data/ML libraries.
- Experience with the end-to-end model lifecycle (exploration, training, validation, and deployment).
- Practical development experience with Databricks (notebooks, jobs/workflows, and/or Databricks SQL).
- Solid experience with Machine Learning model development and data analysis.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
