We're looking for a Cloud Senior Data Engineer to join the EY GDS Data Engineering Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth.
Key responsibilities
Develop cloud data ingestion and processing pipelines
Work with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik
Use Python, Pyspark, Scala, JavaScript and SQL
Apply data modelling best practices for data engineers
Use CI/CD development with devops/Git
Apply data architecture best practices on NoSQL databases, RDBMS, or Databricks Unity Catalog
Solve complex technical problems with strong analytical skills
Debug and optimize solutions in support roles
Gather business requirements and deliver solution presentations
About you
At least 3 years of experience in developing cloud data ingestion and processing pipelines using at least 2 of the following: Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, or Hadoop
Hands-on experience in using any or combination of BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik
Hands-on experience in using any or combination of Python, Pyspark, Scala, JavaScript and SQL
Familiar with data modelling best practices for data engineers
Familiar with CI/CD development using devops/Git
Familiar with data architecture best practices on NoSQL databases, RDBMS, or Databricks Unity Catalog
Strong analytical skills and enjoys solving complex technical problems
Excellent debugging and optimization skills when needed in relation to support roles
Good communication and presentation skills in relation to gathering business requirements and solution presentations
