Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and cloud technologies, with a focus on building and optimizing data pipelines and architectures. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support our analytics and machine learning initiatives. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data availability and quality. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop robust data pipelines using Python and SQL to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse. - Utilize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Vertex AI, and Cloud Run to build and deploy data solutions. - Implement and manage APIs for data access and integration with other systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. - Ensure data governance and compliance by implementing best practices for data management, including IAM and VPC configurations. - Evaluate and govern large language models (LLMs) and other advanced analytics tools to enhance data processing capabilities. - Continuously monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and reliability. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Python and SQL. - Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly BigQuery and Vertex AI. - Familiarity with data governance practices and tools. - Strong understanding of APIs and data integration techniques. - Knowledge of semantic layers and LLM evaluation & governance. - Experience with IAM and VPC configurations. - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
