(Senior) Data Engineer
Summary
Designs and maintains cloud data pipelines and warehouses using Snowflake, dbt, and Azure to power analytics and decision-making for a tech consultancy.
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team in Istanbul, working on modern cloud data infrastructure and analytics pipelines. We are a Technology Consulting firm with international clients, mostly from Europe.
About the Role
As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and warehouse architectures that power analytics and decision-making across the organization. You'll work closely with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure our data infrastructure is reliable, well‑modeled, and easy to consume.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement ELT/ETL pipelines using dbt and Snowflake
- Build and maintain data models following Data Vault and Star Schema methodologies
- Manage cloud data infrastructure on Azure (or comparable cloud platforms)
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions
- Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance and reliability
- Contribute to documentation and best practices for data architecture and governance
Must‑Have Qualifications
- English proficiency at C1 level (written and spoken)
- Hands‑on experience with Snowflake and dbt or a comparable modern data stack
- Experience with Azure or a comparable cloud platform (AWS, GCP)
- Solid understanding of Data Vault and Star Schema data modeling methods
- Proven experience building and maintaining production data pipelines
