Role description and responsibilities

Join a highly competent team of Data Engineers, where you will have the opportunity to bring value to data & participate in enabling data-driven business-critical decisions.


Key responsibilities:

  • Thorough experience in Snowflake, DBT and Estuary/Fivetran to become the cornerstone of our team helping the team to become self-servient from technical point of view.
  • Develop and maintain data platform through best practices, standards and processes for effective and efficient use. (Our stack comprises of primarily Snowflake, dbt and Estuary with great focus on integrations through webhooks, APIs).
  • Create data pipelines to integrate various data sources for automating data deliveries for business critical functions.
  • Support Data team’s vision of enabling stakeholders across the organization through data-driven decision making.
  • Enable effective data governance, data quality and platform monitoring.


Qualifications

Technical Requirements (Must Have):

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering and platforms, with strong interest in big data analytics and machine learning.
  • Practical experience with integration of data from multiple data sources (PostgreSQL, MySQL RDS, MS Dynamics, etc.). We use Estuary/Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake, so experience in this stack is preferable but relevant experience with other similar tools is also valuable and will be considered.
  • Experience supporting critical reporting and analytics (such as Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, etc)
  • Experience in creating API integrations and webhooks for connecting data warehouse to different data sources.
  • Experience with technologies like Docker, Git, etc.
  • Knowledge of Software engineering and CI/CD principles for developing, deploying, and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines and data solutions using agile practices.
  • Skills in programming languages such as SQL and Python


Technical Requirements (Good to Have):

  • Data Science and Machine Learning knowledge
  • Agentic coding methods and use of modern AI based IDEs (like Cursor)
  • Data quality and Infrastructure monitoring tools like Elementary, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in complex timeseries data in Retail or related industry.
  • Programming in Python, R

Compensation (gross monthly salary): €4,300 - €5,300 (Senior Level) The role is typically placed at around €4800 gross/monthly, depending on the experience and scope. Final placement within the band is determined by objective assessment against role requirements.
