Senior Data Engineer building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and scalable data models on a modern Azure-based cloud data platform (Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse/Fabric), working with data engineers, BI specialists, and stakeholders to deliver reliable datasets for analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making.
Salary: £55,000 - 65,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong SQL development skills
- Experience with Python or a similar programming language
- Data engineering or data integration experience
- Understanding of data modelling and ETL/ELT concepts
- Experience implementing data validation and testing processes
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, or data lake technologies
- Cloud-based data platform experience
- Experience within regulated sectors is desirable
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Integrate data from multiple systems and external providers
- Develop scalable and reliable data models
- Improve monitoring, testing, and platform performance
- Support data quality and governance initiatives
- Collaborate with BI teams to deliver trusted reporting datasets
