Senior Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric to design, develop, and optimize modern data platforms and analytics solutions.

The ideal candidate should have solid expertise in Fabric Data Engineering, Lakehouse, Data Factory, Spark, SQL, Delta Lake, and Power BI, with the ability to work independently and contribute to enterprise-scale data engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric.


• - Build and maintain Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and data transformation frameworks.


• - Develop ingestion pipelines using Fabric Data Factory / Data Pipelines for batch and incremental data processing.


• - Develop data transformations using Spark, PySpark and SQL.


• - Design and optimize Delta Lake tables and large-scale data processing workloads.


• - Implement data quality, validation, reconciliation, monitoring, and error-handling frameworks.


• - Develop and optimize enterprise data models supporting analytics and reporting.


• - Work closely with Power BI developers and business stakeholders to deliver analytics-ready datasets.


• - Optimize Fabric workloads for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost.


• - Implement CI/CD and deployment practices for data engineering workloads.


• - Troubleshoot production data pipelines and resolve performance and data-quality issues.


• - Follow engineering standards for version control, documentation, testing, and code reviews.

• - Understanding of Direct Lake, Import and DirectQuery modes.


• - Experience with Git, CI/CD and deployment practices.


• - Strong understanding of data quality, governance, security, and monitoring.

Good to Have:

• - Microsoft Fabric certifications.


• - Experience with Azure Data Services.


• - Experience with enterprise-scale data migration and modernization.


• - Experience with Power BI performance optimization and DAX.


• - Experience with APIs, relational databases, cloud platforms, or other enterprise source systems.
