Senior Data Engineer, MLOps

Build and maintain ML pipelines and real-time inference services for AI-driven insurance risk models using AWS SageMaker, Snowflake Snowpark, and Kafka.

Responsibilities
- Operationalize key data science solutions for risk-prediction products
- Design and build ML pipelines using AWS services like SageMaker and tools like MLflow
- Stand up and operate a shared feature store using Snowflake Snowpark and Kafka
- Own real-time inference services and manage blue/green or canary deployments
- Implement comprehensive testing strategies within CI/CD pipelines
- Enable ML Governance through model and data versioning
- Implement event-driven orchestration for automated retraining and redeployment
- Monitor production models for performance, drift, and data quality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 8 years of industry experience with 2 years focused in MLOps
- 2 years in software engineering or equivalent
- Comprehensive experience in Python and Docker
- Proficiency in IaC tools like Terraform
- Expertise in designing and managing scalable MLOps solutions on AWS
- Experience with AWS Step Functions and CI/CD for machine learning
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems or complex APIs
- Proficiency in Snowflake Snowpark for Python/Java/Scala
- Prior experience in the insurance industry or highly regulated environments
