Senior Data Engineer
You will build the foundational data platform by migrating analytics into BigQuery, extending Go services for data ingestion, and creating reusable ETL and ELT pipelines. You will consolidate operational, on-chain, market, and product data while establishing standards for modeling, orchestration, testing, lineage, documentation, quality, observability, access, and cost management.
Responsibilities
- Migrate analytics and existing data workflows into BigQuery
- Extend Go services to ingest additional production data
- Design build and operate repeatable ETL and ELT pipelines
- Consolidate internal database on-chain market-data and product analytics sources
- Establish standards for ingestion transformation orchestration testing lineage and documentation
- Build foundational metrics and dashboards
- Own data quality observability monitoring access controls and warehouse cost management
- Partner with technical and analytical stakeholders to create durable data infrastructure
Requirements
- 5+ years of data engineering experience building and operating production data pipelines and warehouses
- Hands-on experience with a cloud data warehouse with BigQuery strongly preferred
- Experience with warehouse performance partitioning and cost optimization
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills
- Experience with transformation and orchestration tooling such as dbt Airflow or similar schedulers
- Experience designing batch and streaming ingestion from operational databases into a warehouse
- Experience building data infrastructure for fintech trading or other high-integrity financial systems
- High standards for data quality reliability testing observability and documentation
- Clear communication and high ownership
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical partners
