Senior Data Engineer

Stack: SQL, Python, Databricks, dbt, AWS Redshift

We are partnering with a fast-growing, global AI and Data Solutions consultancy to hire a Data Lead to join their engineering team in Cali, Colombia.

As Data Lead, you won't just be managing pipelines—you’ll be designing robust, scalable infrastructure that bridges the gap between raw data and production-ready analytics/AI.

What You’ll Do

• Drive Data Architecture: Ensure high-throughput pipelines and data platforms meet strict business SLA requirements for data integrity, governance, and speed.
• Build at Scale: Apply advanced data manipulation and transformation techniques to solve complex engineering problems across large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Pipeline Implementation: Design, deploy, and maintain robust ingestion routines using SQL, Python, and modern data modeling best practices.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, architectures, and standard operational procedures.
• Community & Leadership: Represent the company in tech meetups/events and help mentor emerging tech talent through internal learning initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, Data Lead, or similar technical role building complex data systems.
• Core Technical Stack:
• Advanced SQL and Python programming skills.
• Solid hands-on experience with dbt for managing transformations and workflow orchestration.
• Practical experience with Databricks for large-scale data processing (Databricks certification is a strong plus!).
• Strong working knowledge of cloud warehousing (e.g., AWS Redshift).
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Location: Ability to work from the Cali office at least 3 days a week.
