We are partnering with a fast-growing, global AI and Data Solutions consultancy to hire a Data Lead to join their engineering team in Cali, Colombia.

What You’ll Do
- Drive Data Architecture: Ensure high-throughput pipelines and data platforms meet strict business SLA requirements for data integrity, governance, and speed.
- Build at Scale: Apply advanced data manipulation and transformation techniques to solve complex engineering problems across large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Pipeline Implementation: Design, deploy, and maintain robust ingestion routines using SQL, Python, and modern data modeling best practices.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, architectures, and standard operational procedures.
- Community & Leadership: Represent the company in tech meetups/events and help mentor emerging tech talent through internal learning initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, Data Lead, or similar technical role building complex data systems.
- Core Technical Stack:
- Advanced SQL and Python programming skills.
- Solid hands-on experience with dbt for managing transformations and workflow orchestration.
- Practical experience with Databricks for large-scale data processing (Databricks certification is a strong plus!).
- Strong working knowledge of cloud warehousing (e.g., AWS Redshift).
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Location: Ability to work from the Cali office at least 3 days a week.
