Senior Data Engineer, Platform

About The Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to shape and manage our data platform, to enhance data‑driven decision‑making across the organisation.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement software and data components, to acquire and manage data in a reliable and cost‑efficient manner.
• Ship scalable, testable, maintainable, and high‑quality code.
• Drive standards in data reliability to enable accurate, consistent, and trustworthy datasets, business intelligence products, and analyses.
• Share knowledge, promote standard methodologies, mentor juniors - making your team the best version of itself.

What We’re Seeking

• Proficiency in cloud technologies, or strong experience working in cloud‑based engineering teams.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, and experience with libraries like PySpark, Pandas, DBT and FastAPI.
• Good understanding in distributed systems, such as Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes, micro‑services, or event‑driven architecture will be a plus.
• Good understanding in database, data lake, and data warehouse technologies (Postgres, Redshift, Big Query, Snowflake, etc.).
• Commitment to quality and what it takes to ship highly maintainable software
• Owner‑operator mindset, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
