As a Senior Data Engineer at Solirius, you design and deliver data pipelines and models that enable advanced analytics and machine learning for clients. You’ll work with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and engineers, to ensure data quality, reliability, and actionable insights. You will lead the design and deployment of data solutions, stay current with data engineering trends, and help define processes that drive operational excellence. - Develop data engineering solutions for projects
- Design and build data models and schemas to support business requirements
- Build and maintain data ingestion and processing systems using SQL, NoSQL, ETL, Luigi, Airflow, Argo
- Implement diverse data storage solutions (relational, non-relational, cloud-based)
- Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to address data issues and opportunities
- Stay updated with modern data stack trends and cloud computing developments
- Assist with processes to achieve operational excellence and uphold data quality
- Define and manage SLAs for datasets and production processes
- Lead in the design, build, and launch of new data models and pipelines
- Experience in operating within data engineering teams and independently
- Line/Team management or leadership experience
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS; GCP beneficial)
- SQL and relational databases (MS SQL/Azure SQL, PostgreSQL)
- Framework experience with Flask, Tornado, or Django; Docker
- ETL pipelines experience (Luigi, Airflow, Argo)
- Big data technologies (Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
- Data acquisition and development of datasets; improving data quality
- Hands-on Python coding
- Reporting tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik)
- GDPR and Government Service Standard desirable
- Agile development experience
