Senior Data Engineer

In this role you’ll help advance the Air Transport Industry data platform by designing and delivering scalable cloud data products. You’ll build APIs and backend systems, work with pipelines and data from airports and airlines, and enable insights for ML models. You’ll join the Central Data Platform Team to shape TAM, SITA’s flagship data-driven product for the industry, leveraging modern architectures and AI-assisted interfaces. • Design and develop scalable, cloud-based data products focusing on performance, cost-efficiency, and security
• Create reference ingestion APIs with data quality and coherence for easier consumption
• Build and maintain data pipelines and CI/CD processes with strong testing and quality coverage
• Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

• 3-5 years of backend experience with large company systems
• Proficiency in typed backend languages (Java, TypeScript) and clean, OOP-focused coding
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) applied to complex businesses
• Experience with Hexagonal Architecture as an architectural pattern
• REST API design and development; GraphQL is a plus
• Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, and event streaming (Azure Event Hub, Kafka) is a plus
• SQL and Python proficiency
• Cloud deployment experience (Azure preferred)
